Russell - Original Ink Drawing (with character tale)

Sale Price: £25.00 Original Price: £30.00

3.5” x 2.5” (ACEO) ink on textured card

Russell lives on a council estate near Shaftesbury lido but considers himself an American at heart. He struts around in a cowboy hat, skin-tight jeans to show off his overinflated thighs, and polished cowboy boots that have never seen a speck of dirt. The locals call him “Russell the Muscle,” partly because of his physique and partly because he insists on flexing in every reflective surface he passes, including bus stop timetables.

He greets everyone with a loud “Howdy” and dreams of riding into town on horseback, though the closest he has come is a mobility scooter with a saddle bolted on. He once tried to host a “Texas-style” barbecue in his tiny back garden using only a disposable grill and three Richmond sausages. The fire brigade had to be called, and he still insists it was “authentic frontier living.”

These drawings were created in the process of creating my book 'Margarets Got Beef With Number 26' (also available here). Each one is an original and comes with a copy of their character tale and sent in an embossed envelope.
