Roxy - Original Ink Drawing (with character tale)

Sale Price: £25.00 Original Price: £30.00

3.5” x 2.5” (ACEO) ink on textured card

Roxy is a journalist for The Guardian, specialising in the kind of dry, issue-heavy columns that make readers’ eyes glaze over before the second paragraph. She sometimes wonders if life would be easier if she swallowed her pride and churned out celebrity gossip for The Sun, but fears her soul would shrivel and her flat white habit might be revoked.

This week she’s been assigned to cover Britain’s pothole crisis, which has involved spending three days in a fluorescent tabard, interviewing council workers who all insist the holes are “characterful” and one man who swears his Mini was swallowed whole by one in Swindon. She’s considered throwing herself dramatically into a crater just to give the piece a human-interest angle.

These drawings were created in the process of creating my book 'Margarets Got Beef With Number 26' (also available here). Each one is an original and comes with a copy of their character tale and sent in an embossed envelope.
