Tara is absolutely sick of everyone’s shit. She visits her gran daily with a bag of sandwiches, and every day, without fail, Derek, a wolf she went to school with, lurks by the park trying to chat her up. His version of flirting mostly involves mocking her shoes and asking if she’s still boring, which only proves how little he has evolved since Year 9.
Tara often fantasises about seeing him trip into the side of the park slide and leaving him with a commemorative dent, but instead she has perfected a masterclass in not giving a single visible shit. Her silence unnerves Derek more than any verbal onslaught ever could, and secretly, she finds that delicious.
These drawings were created in the process of creating my book 'Margarets Got Beef With Number 26' (also available here). Each one is an original and comes with a copy of their character tale and sent in an embossed envelope.
