Christopher - Original Ink Drawing (with character tale)

Sale Price: £25.00 Original Price: £30.00

3.5” x 2.5” (ACEO) ink on textured card

Christopher keeps his elderly mother in the attic. Not in a Jane Eyre kind of way, more of a fully converted loft with a Stannah stairlift and access-approved handrails sort of setup. It’s a small mercy she can’t get down the stairs unaided anymore, which means Christopher finally has some peace downstairs, but he’s made sure the space is kitted out with all the mod cons: adjustable recliner, bed hoist and a telly permanently tuned to anything with Michael McIntyre.

He takes tea with her twice a day to keep the household feeling civilised, though her dementia often leads to unfortunate outbursts. On a good day, she sings hymns slightly off-key. On a bad day, she dances naked at the dormer window or flashes the neighbours while Christopher pretends he didn’t see and adds another biscuit to her plate in tense silence.

These drawings were created in the process of creating my book 'Margarets Got Beef With Number 26' (also available here). Each one is an original and comes with a copy of their character tale and sent in an embossed envelope.
