Michelle - Original Ink Drawing (with character tale)

Sale Price: £25.00 Original Price: £30.00

3.5” x 2.5” (ACEO) ink on textured card

Michelle is thoroughly enjoying maternity leave and cannot understand why she did not do this sooner. Being defecated on by a tiny baby at all hours and drained of all vital essence still feels infinitely preferable to dealing with Gloria’s daily lateness or Vanessa’s aggressively passive-aggressive emails.

She has taken to baking bread, sewing, and daydreaming about never setting foot in an office again. The sound of the washing machine is now her favourite background music, and she catches herself smiling at 3 a.m. feeds because at least no one is asking her to “circle back” on anything.

Michelle thoroughly enjoys staring strangers in the eye when breastfeeding in public. She’s ready for a verbal exchange with anyone daring to suggest getting a bap out to feed a baby is obscene and is willing to throw punches.

As her re-start work date starts to loom she has started looking at her husband with a calculating glint, wondering if getting pregnant again might be the smartest career move she has ever made.

These drawings were created in the process of creating my book 'Margarets Got Beef With Number 26' (also available here). Each one is an original and comes with a copy of their character tale and sent in an embossed envelope.
