This is Serena’s eighth child, and at this point she is basically running a small crèche out of her own home. She can change a nappy in under thirty seconds, negotiate peace treaties over Lego, and has a sixth sense for when a toddler is about to vomit.
She has stopped bothering with baby books or parenting blogs because there is nothing left to learn. Serena operates on caffeine, chaos, and sheer muscle memory. When people ask if she will have more, she just laughs in a way that makes everyone slightly uncomfortable and mutters, “We’ll see,” while rocking a baby with one foot and stirring spaghetti with the other.
These drawings were created in the process of creating my book 'Margarets Got Beef With Number 26' (also available here). Each one is an original and comes with a copy of their character tale and sent in an embossed envelope.
