Erin - Original Ink Drawing (with character tale
3.5” x 2.5” (ACEO) ink on textured card
Erin has five degrees. Collecting them has essentially become her full-time career, with each “gap year” spent pulling pints in various corners of Europe while she decided what to study next. Now in her late thirties, she introduces herself as “a lifelong learner,” which is code for “permanently avoiding the real world.”
Her walls are lined with certificates, but her bank account has tumbleweeds rolling through it. She still lives in a house share with students ten years younger than her and justifies it by saying she is “mentoring them,” though really she just likes being called “the cool one.” Erin insists she is “working on her thesis” but has been doing so for seven years. At this point, it is less of a thesis and more of a hostage situation.
These drawings were created in the process of creating my book 'Margarets Got Beef With Number 26' (also available here). Each one is an original and comes with a copy of their character tale and sent in an embossed envelope.
