Each Flesh Fancy is individually made and finished by hand, taking the familiar fondant fancy and pushing it somewhere altogether stranger. Beneath the sugary colours and glossy icing are teeth, eyes, needles and other small intrusions that suggest these cakes may have been prepared for purposes other than eating.
Inspired by fairy tales, folklore and the uneasy promise of things that appear too good to be true, each piece is a one-off sculptural artwork with its own character and peculiar details.
Presented boxed as a miniature confectionery specimen.
